Let it be known that I arrived in

ashes.

This is what happens to a man when he burns up on re-entry.

(-- Finis? --)

T.M.
One of the greatest tales I ever could have .. and should have.. written.

Every artist is constantly in the process of Creating. We do it intuitively. We are dreaming about doing it when we are at school or work, or just driving in the car. We think about what we would do if we had the time, money and resource.
We live our mortal lives, dreaming.

In my dreams (322 bpm), events from my make believe life ( aka "Reality-Mask") are 'corrected' to be as I would have them be while in my Waking Life.. (the life I lead when I should be doing other, more serious things - but instead, I'm fucking around and daydreaming. Which I am very serious about, mind you. Man's gotta live, y'know ?)

So then, the blue-hued collage of the past few months have set my mind's eye to re-writing events, taking the symbolic representations of all things considered and setting them into a storyboard context. A materspiece of sorts. To get it all down in words would have been a massive undertaking, as it involved the shaping of three seperate fantasy frame/stories into one juxtaposition, with a tremendous cumulative ending that was nothing less than Divine.
Truly.

I wouldn't lie.

But all that work, for who ? For the one person who probably doesn't need to hear it ? Nah. Probably would just cause more trouble there. And a heart in pain acts funny. She'd probably just see it as anything but what it really was. I've learned my lesson, there.

So then - to write it for myself ? Never. I'm far too lazy to take on this leviathan simply for my own needs.

What about other readers?
Well... almost. But see - the most delicious part of this tale would be in the fact that the elements have a specific meaning to a specific person. Without that relevance, the subtlety is lost. Like drinking good coffee from a cheap paper cup... some of the joy just gets lost in translation. That wouldn't do.

So ...
I guess it won't get written.

I've got too many other projects in the wings anyhow; I just got asked to create some new works for a friend's proposed book. This will be my second time being requisitioned to share my works in someone else's publishing.
(*As much as that rawkst.. I've got to get off my ass and start working on MY books ! *lol No one makes a career out of 'Guest Writer' !)

Anyhow -- my wicked wicked muses were cruel enough to fever-blister the opening lines into my empty palms. I've got to do something with them now -- even if that just means casting them into a shallow grave.

And that brings us to

Here.

The tombstone could be marked "What Might Have Been If I'd Had A Free 25+ Hours And Nothing Else To Do". *grin*

I've no real regrets. Had circumstances been different.. I know I would've written it.

(I know this lengthy explanation seems like much ado about nothing.. but what can I say?! -- I love these opening lines.
Really do. )

Maybe I'll use them in a shorter peice for something later on. I dunno.

So then -- Here is the beginning
- and the conclusion -
of something beautiful.

Maybe one day, it will be Something Complete.

But for now
Here's to a tomorrow which will never come...

- The Author.
